Privacy Policy

529 Ledger is provided by Rhodwell LLC for organizing education-savings records on your Apple device. The app does not require an app-specific account or sign-in.
Information you enter
The app stores the information you enter for its recordkeeping features, such as student and 529 account details, education expenses, withdrawals, matches and allocations, notes, classifications, tax-year records, and supporting documents. The Release app stores this information in its local app data store. Documents are stored locally and associated with the records you select.
Local storage, backups, and sync
The current Release app does not automatically sync ledger records or document files through CloudKit and does not provide automatic cross-device recovery. Apple device-backup behavior is controlled by iOS and your device settings; app data may be included in an Apple device backup. The app also lets you create a portable backup file and restore from a selected file. Restore validates the backup and requires your confirmation before replacing the current ledger data. Keep exported backup files in a location you trust.
Network services and third parties
The reviewed Release implementation does not use a developer-operated account service, advertising, analytics, or financial-account connection. File selection and any external links are provided by Apple or the linked service and may be subject to their own terms and privacy practices. The app's Release data store is local-only; CloudKit development configuration is not used by the Release build.
Lifetime Pro purchases
The Release app includes StoreKit support for a one-time Lifetime Pro in-app purchase and a Restore Purchases action. Apple may process purchase and transaction information under Apple's terms and privacy policy. When available, the app requests the product's localized price from the App Store.
Children and sensitive information
529 Ledger is a recordkeeping tool. Avoid entering information that is not needed for your records, and do not send account numbers, tax documents, receipts, or other sensitive information by email unless necessary to describe a support issue.
Changes to this policy
Rhodwell LLC may update this policy when the app's data practices change. The effective date above identifies the date of this version.
